A festival-wide listing does not mean every performance runs every night, and free community programming does not make other shows free. September 12: make Fringeville the whole evening

For a flexible local night, head to Hurstville Plaza at 296 Forest Road on Saturday, September 12. Georges River Council confirms a 6–9 PM program, free entry and no booking requirement. Local musicians and dancers join Fringe performers, with roaming entertainment, a children's anime workshop and street-food stalls.

Treat it as a neighborhood outing rather than a stop between two ticketed shows. Arrive with time to find the stage and choose a meeting point, then leave room for whichever performance catches your attention. Admission is free; a meal or snack is a separate purchase. The council's dated listing is the place to check for program or weather changes before leaving.

Match the plan to your group and the journey home

Fringeville welcomes all ages, but Sydney Fringe rates it PG and warns of flashing and strobe lighting. That matters more than a general family-friendly label if someone in your party is sensitive to light or sound. Read the current access information and contact the council's entertainment team before the event if you need support; do not assume a busy outdoor plaza provides the same facilities as a seated theatre.

Hurstville is a separate Sydney neighborhood outing, so check the journey from your accommodation and a practical return option after the 9 PM finish. We have not verified a particular train service, parking space or step-free route for your travel date. For a ticketed Fringe show elsewhere, repeat those checks using its own venue address rather than the Hurstville location.
